Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift's fearless follow up

Taylor Swift has already achieved more than most artists do in their entire career. The 20-year old singer has two hit albums under her belt. Her last album, Fearless, was the best-selling album of 2009 and won four Grammys. Swift told fans via a live web chat that her third studio album is coming October 25.

The country pop princess announced that Speak Now contains 14 songs that were written entirely by her. She addressed the 58,000 fans that joined her live chat: "It just so happened that the songs that made the cut on the album were the ones I wrote myself, so, wish me luck!"

Swift has been working on this new album for the last two years. She shared: "I've been writing for this record and sort of conceptualizing it and putting it together in my head and sort of figuring out what I want it to be. I like to take a lot of time in between albums to work up the next one and see what it is."

The songs are all about the singing star's firsthand experiences. She explained why it has taken this long for a new album to emerge: "For me, I write everything that I live, so you got to give yourself a little bit of time to live a lot of things so you can write about a lot of things."
